What resolution should a TikTok chart video be?
1080×1920 (9:16) at 30 or 60 fps. 4K vertical (2160×3840) is available but platforms usually re-encode it to 1080p.

Vertical races, lines and counters sized for the phone, with titles kept clear of the like buttons and captions that apps draw over the bottom and side.
Data videos do well on short-form platforms when they’re made for the phone: vertical, large type, and nothing important under the app’s buttons. Open the Social followers template below, a 9:16 line race, or choose any chart and switch the Format to 9:16.
In 9:16, Keep clear of app buttons is on by default: the title moves below the top bar, labels stay out of the right-hand column of buttons, and the bottom fifth (where captions and the account name sit) is left clear. Press Show safe areas under the preview to see the zones; they never appear in the export.
Select Open the Social followers template, or choose any chart and pick 9:16 as the Format.
Press Show safe areas under the preview (or G). Turn on Keep clear of app buttons in Style if it’s off.
Raise Text size under Style → More options, and keep the Title short enough to fit on two lines.
In Export, choose Video (MP4), 1080p and 60 fps, then Export video. Use Share on a phone to post it.
The layout reflows for each format rather than being cropped, so a race reads as well vertically as it does wide. A bar chart race in 9:16 puts names inside the bars to give them more length.
Lead with the answer in the title (“TikTok passed Instagram in 11 months”), keep the video under a minute with Total length, and leave a hold at the end so viewers can read the final frame. Add your own music track under Motion; chart.video doesn’t provide music.

No. Download the video, or use Share on a phone to send it to the app.
Roughly the top 14 %, the bottom 22 % and the right 14 % of a 9:16 frame, where the apps draw their own buttons, captions and progress bars.
You can add your own audio file in the Motion step. Add trending sounds inside the app after uploading.
Exports are drawn at full resolution with crisp text; 60 fps and the default high quality give the app’s re-encoder the most to work with.
